El evento reunirá a expresidentes de Panamá, México, Bolivia, Colombia, El Salvador y Perú. En el marco de la XLVII Asamblea anual del Consejo Latinoamericano de Escuelas de Administración -  CLADEA, cuya institución anfitriona es la Universidad ESAN en Perú, seis expresidentes de Latinoamérica participarán en la "Cumbre sobre Innovación y Educación y su Impacto en el Desarrollo", que se llevará a cabo el 22 de octubre en el Lima Westin Hotel and Convention Center. Este encuentro tiene por objetivo propiciar la discusión de grandes temas de política latinoamericana.

El Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) acogió el pasado 19 de septiembre la XVI Convención Iberoamericana de Excelencia, bajo el título “Iberoamérica: Presente y Futuro”. Haciéndola coincidir con los actos conmemorativos del Bicentenario de la Constitución Española de 1812 que se celebran en España, cuyo punto culminante se alcanzará en el mes de noviembre con la celebración en Cádiz de la XXII Cumbre Iberoamericana de Jefes de Estado y de Gobierno, este año la Convención –que anualmente se celebra en un país diferente del ámbito iberoamericano– tuvo lugar en Madrid.
